What do you need the most to reach net zero? Data? Budgets? Policy? Actions? Commitment? All of it? While we debate what matters more, when anyone asks me, I always say: sharing. People are always surprised when I tell them that. Of the many things that matter to sustainability, why does sharing top the list with all the other factors in play? When the future is at stake, why should we not share what we’ve learned from our sustainability journey? That’s been the bedrock of how we do things at Infosys when it comes to climate action: we build, we learn, and what we build and learn, we share with the world. Take for instance, the Infosys ESG Reporting Solution. This was shaped by our own journey to become carbon neutral at Infosys. And when we hit the milestone in 2020, well ahead of the 2050 timeline set by the Paris Agreement, we realized that we could expand our learnings, our tools and our frameworks to a solution that every enterprise could use. The same goes for the Infosys Smart Solution for Water. We use it to monitor the water bodies on our many campuses in different cities, and this has been scaled to an enterprise-grade offering from Infosys Sustainability Services. We have tried to apply the same principle in the work we do for our clients and our partnerships. Whether it’s a robot that cleans solar panels or a digital platform that orchestrates electric charging infrastructure, what starts as a pilot with our clients then scales to a full-blown solution available to all. Even the Value Chain Navigator, a tool built in partnership with The Economist, is available for any business executive to use to understand, manage and mitigate scope-3 emissions. We are taking this belief in sharing to ONS 2024 in Stavanger, Norway. Joining us there from August 26 - 29, 2024 are our clients, technology partners, and industry leaders who also share our commitment to working together to fast-track a sustainable tomorrow. We believe that only an entire ecosystem of enterprise changemakers can create a meaningful difference in achieving our climate goals. After all, what is the point of just a few being able to realize their net zero aspirations? Sustainability is a priority for all. And that’s why I say: to me, the most important thing in ESG is this: share and share more. Share your story and your technology, share your methods and your ecosystems. Because it will alter the course we are on. Join us at booth #4030 of Hall 4 in the Net Zero Markets zone at ONS. We’re here to talk #EnergyTransitionNow, to share our vision and solutions for a better future. Infosys Sustainability Services Infosys Energy Practice
