All the women - especially in Solar - we bow to you and celebrate you! 👏 Let's applaud the incredible women powering the solar industry! Thank you also Veste Jaanus being on the journey with Virtusol team - you are our queen! According to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), women make up 40% of the global PV workforce - a figure twice as high as in other sectors like wind, oil, and gas. Despite this progress, there's room to improve. Women often find themselves in administrative roles, with few reaching senior positions. 💃 Yet, women continue to shine in driving solar innovation. Solar PV is the fastest-growing sector in renewable energy, with women playing a pivotal role worldwide. From China to Europe to the US, women are making their mark, contributing to a brighter, sustainable future. To empower more women in solar, let's take decisive action—raising awareness, implementing supportive policies, and fostering inclusive workplaces. Happy International Women's Day to the trailblazing women in solar, lighting the way for a more diverse and equitable industry! #RenewableEnergy #Innovation #SustainableLiving #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInSolar

Ambassador, World Intellectual Property Organization- Nigeria| Law | Award-wining Writer& Researcher| Leadership| Public Speaking
Today, we celebrate the importance of intellectual property in building the future we desire. "IP and SDGs: Building our common future with innovation and creativity". The theme for this year perfectly highlights the intersection between protecting ideas and achieving the #sustainable #development #goals (SDGs). Over time IP has played a crucial role in the actualization of SDGs. These SDGs include no poverty, zero #hunger, good #health and well-being, quality #education, gender #equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean #energy, #climate action, etc. Every innovative and creative solution aimed at achieving these goals are proof of how IP have significantly promoted SDGs. IP rights incentivize innovative efforts by giving creators ownership and control over their creative work. As we slowly approach 2030, protecting #intellectual #property to develop a culture of innovation would empower people to build the sustainable world that we desire. How can we bridge the gap between #innovative #ideas and #impactful #solutions? Happy World Intellectual Property Day! How are you celebrating today? #WorldIPDay #WIPD2024 #GreenIP #SDGs #Creativity #Innovation

Full inclusion is key to realizing the promise of the SDGs and leave no one behind. This infographic by ATscale is really interesting to find out what are the key SDGs related to Assistive Technology... ... but many more (all SDGs actually) would make a lot of sense, such a SDG11 on sustainable cities, which includes public transport... which become "all-inclusive" only if accessible to all...
❓Did you know that assistive technology is crucial for achieving all the Sustainable Development Goals? Leave No One Behind, the central promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals, is impossible without universal access to assistive technology. 📱🦻🦽🦿👓 Full inclusion is key to realize the promise of the SDGs and leave no one behind 🌎 Today, over 2.5 billion people globally use at least one form of assistive technology, but 900 million people living in LMICs cannot access the assistive technology they need. ATscale catalyzes action to ensure that, by 2030, an additional 500 million people in LMICS get the life-changing AT they need. From health to humanitarian crises, and education to environment, assistive technology is cross-cutting and relevant to all the SDGs. It has direct links to accelerating progress in 9 of the 17 goals. 👉To find out more about how assistive technology is relevant to the SDGs, visit our dedicated webpage: https://lnkd.in/dKdXEQNN #SDGs #LeaveNoOneBehind #GlobalGoals #ATChangesLives #inclusion #Agenda2030 #UnlockTheEveryday United Nations Joint SDG Fund UNDP Global Cooperation on Assistive Technology

Day 2 at EVPA in OGR Torino - Comune di Torino. Youth getting a voice: We are afraid of living in a future where people don't have access to basic resources, to peace, in a world where we face discrimination based on gender or race, ... but we are ready to act for a better world! Starting with major challenges as: - AI needs regulation to make it work for the common good. But will this be sufficient if power stays concentrated with a limited number of private owned companies?
