Lilia Udovychenko (LU) Why Women Are Making It Big in #AI https://lnkd.in/gj8NTJi 5 most important things I learned from Ivana Bartoletti, technical director at Deloitte. 1) Having a mentor 2) Be yourself, all the time. 3) Know your stuff, but avoid comparing with others 4) Do not give an apology if you are convinced that you have done nothing wrong. 5) Work on your body language. Hold poses of confidence, use specific posture, gestures, and even clothing that make you feel confident. A Vision for Women in Tech In celebration of International Women's Day, I'm inspired to share a vision close to my heart. As a woman in tech, I eagerly look forward to attending tech conferences, not just for the networking and listening to the presentations, but with the hope of seeing increased female representation. It's always disappointing for me to find myself in vast halls where I usually count only a few women present. I wish that the industry would provide more support to women in tech and not only in tech, but in general. I'm very proud of the diversified team that we are building at Neurons Lab, having women executives on board, and prioritizing talents over gender. I think this should serve as an example to many other companies too. Happy International Women's Day, Ladies.

Do you remember the scandal a few weeks ago about the tech conference that generated fake AI-profiles of women speakers to show diversity? 😐 Apart from infuriating me it got me thinking and inspired me to create 'Women Everywhere', a collective of women in tech who are REAL and READY to take the stage at upcoming tech conferences. ✨ To make this collective work, I need your help! Let's build a list of women in tech that companies and conference organizers can reference when they are looking for their next speaker. Share this form with your network and peers: https://lnkd.in/ehP4SjHu Together, we can amplify the voices of women in tech and showcase their expertise on the global stage. Join me in creating a more diverse and inclusive tech industry. #WomenInTech #DiversityandInclusion #TechIndustry #WomenEverywhere

It was uncomfortable to think that a conference organizer might resort to generating fake female speaker profiles to address the lack of female speakers at their event, but it exposes an uncomfortable truth: The gender gap in many sectors of tech is real, and it often comes into sharp focus at industry events when reviewing the roster of speakers. Eniko Tarkany-Szucs has come up with a creative solution to help conference organizers do a better job with gender representation on stage. She has started 'Women Everywhere', a collective of women in tech who are REAL and READY to take the stage at upcoming tech conferences. Please share this list with your network: https://lnkd.in/ehP4SjHu

Would you be shocked to hear that the percentage of women in tech today, currently at 26%, is lower than it was back in 1984, when it was 35%?! 😲 In a recent survey only 27% of female students said they would consider a career in technology, compared to 61% of males, and only 3% say it is their first choice. At Just IT we have a huge focus on getting women into tech and currently 45% of our candidates are women 👩💻. We also regularly host 'Women in Tech' Webinars to celebrate women in the industry and our learners on their journey into their dream careers. If you're passionate about helping women break into the industry, just like we are, don't hesitate to give me a shout! sarahb@justit.co.uk #womenintech #skillsbootcamps #hiring #tech
