As the Leeds Digital festival continues to gain momentum, year on year, I wanted to signpost some brilliant events over the next few weeks.
First up, me and James are hosting an event on the misconceptions of software engineering leadership on the 28th. Following a podcast on the same topic a few months ago, we realised there are plenty of misconceptions in our industry, so this event will be running through things we hear all the time and opening up the conversation to the audience. Whether you're an engineer or someone in the leadership space, there are bound to be things you can learn about the inner workings of high-performing technical teams. A big thanks to James Westwood from WRK digital for putting this together.

The Glean Engineering team have put together an incredible hack day on the 27th, where you'll adopt the role of a private investigator to help solve the mystery of a missing student! I've seen the team planning this for the last few weeks, and although I'm biased, it contains some clever puzzles that will put you to the test.

Finally, the "Diverse by Design" panel is on the 28th, chaired by Gwen Diagram. It's proven that neuro-inclusive teams produce the most competitive tech. Different perspectives and opinions breed accessible, more inclusive technology. I can't wait to see how the panel discussion on this one unfolds.

If you make it to any of these events, pop over to say hello!
