🚫 Stop having bad meetings! We don’t need to tell you that the overuse of meetings can prevent you from getting core work done. Tune into Mark Cruth, Molly Sands, PhD, and Joe Thomas as they shed light on inefficient meetings and share insights on asynchronous collaboration from Atlassian's research 📊 1️⃣ Asynchronous communication enables effective collaboration, even in large-scale meetings 🌍 2️⃣ Tools like Loom can remove meetings from calendars, improving efficiency and productivity ⏰ 3️⃣ Rethinking the purpose and duration of meetings can lead to more meaningful discussions 🎯 Watch the full video now for more useful tips on improving your meeting culture 👀 https://bit.ly/3YtRIW6

Worth considering that meetings are a chance for people to connect, share, learn and grow. Whilst there is a case that many meetings maybe “wasted” or not quick and purposeful enough, there is still an intrinsic need to connect with people (water cooler moments, shooting the breeze, if you will), and remote working can exacerbate this. Making time for human connection, even if digital can do wonders for morale and productivity.

Also having a clearly set agenda, making sure the right people are in the meeting e.g. key decision makers or impacted people and if it finishes early then don't drag it out! 🩷 But... Definitely consider if the meeting is needed at all. Can you do one to one, can you collaborate other ways, are you going to leave the meeting with something different than when you went into the meeting... Great post!

These is great insight! I follow the same to provide design feedbacks to designers in our team. I record a video and share it with them. Post which if needed we go on a quick call to ideate. But it saves alot of time and energy of designers working on grounds.

This feels like a great tool. Visuals are more impactful than the written content, so this tool should help a lot with improving the efficiency of meetings too.

Couldn’t agree more! Too many unnecessary meetings really kills momentum and productivity. Loom is definitely one of the great tool out there to help in explaining and visualizing problem without the need to schedule another meeting.
