I am thrilled to share that I have received my PhD after so many years of hard work, dedication, numerous sleepless nights and email "fights" 😛, and, most importantly, determination. What an incredible journey it has been. Started PhD in 2015, focusing on the Internet of Things and being part of an enthusiastic team that created a functional prototype of a smart vending machine. After two years, due to academic reasons, I shifted my research to circuit design, which led to my thesis work on Low Power CMOS Integrated Circuits for Phase Locked Loop Frequency Synthesizers. In 2019, joined a PhD internship at NXP Semiconductors in Noida and secured full-time employment in 2020 in the Mixed Signal IP team, designing PLLs for automotive applications. My journey also took me to Singapore in 2022, where I worked at Huawei in the RF team, focusing on PLL design for RF applications. I was fortunate to work with incredible managers and mentors like Deependra Jain, Krishna Thakur, N. Raja Sekhar, Gaurav Agrawal , Pawan Sabharwal, Bhawna .. , Wang Yao, and Tandy,Tantan Zhang. Thank you all for helping me develop the skills required in the analog and RF domain and, most importantly, for teaching me the value of collaboration towards a bigger objective. I owe a special thanks to my supervisor, Dr. Santosh Kumar Vishvakarma, for being a constant pillar of support throughout this nine-year journey. Words cannot express my gratitude towards him. Life lessons learned: 1. Finishing your PhD is your responsibility, not your supervisor’s or institute’s. 2. You must take a stand for yourself; no one will do it on your behalf. 3. Just completed my on the floor training at Intel at Fab 11X it was an eye opening experience and I got to see the tools I'll be working on made the and see the process the way if it goes through before the chip is made. I remember going to the fab for the first time I couldn't tell or locate my team my 2 stroke 2 tool Bay Area. I remember asking some people to help me locate my Bay Area the first few people couldn't help me because they weren't quite familiar with it's layout too. I was a little frustrated as I dint know my point of contact yet.( I was to meet him at the bay location). It took me about 20 minutes to finally locate my Bay Area Also did I mention I didn't wear my FAB wear correctly? There is a particular way to grown for the fab. Little mistakes are notice quite visibly. By the time I was done with my training, I was able to fully go on correctly following all the correct procedures and get to my Bay Area in less than 5 minutes. On the last day of my on the job training, as I was walking out of the Fab to degrown, I thought of the lessons I learned from this experience and training when things start the way ahead might seem unreachable and farfetched but with constant persistence you finally get to your destination. A repeated activity brings familiarity and sometimes that makes things less scary; when I first saw the tools I couldn't begin to understand how I was going to understand it's know how and process but after a while those crazy thoughts of “do I deserve to be here” evaporated. Overall, my experience on the job training was educative, mindopening and exciting. One of Intel’s core values of fearless innovation and I am glad to get to be able to contribute a tiny bit of percentage to intel's global goal. #weareIntel #Intelintern

Finally I am pleased to announce that I successfully defended my master's thesis titled "Demonstration of MOCVD in-situ Ga etching of Ga2O3 using TEGa" on April 3rd at Arizona State University under the guidance of, Nidhin Kurian Kalarickal, alongside esteemed committee members Houqiang Fu and Sandhya Susarla. Additionally, I submitted the final version of my thesis last Friday. This marks the completion of my master's journey at ASU. However, these few sentences doesn't truly explain how important this milestone for me. Continue reading for full context...... After failing, like many, in the IIT/JEE and enduring four years of struggle and uncertainty during my undergrad has been the most challenging experience so far. It took no less than a week to realize that metallurgy was not my cup of tea and having to endure for four years is challenging. However, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise for me, as it prompted me to start thinking about my next steps much earlier, rather than blaming others for not providing the right direction. This challenging experience during my undergrad has compelled me to think more constructively about my next decisions and encouraged me to take greater risk, considering I have nothing in my hands to lose, and take more things into my control. I invested a lot of time reading and researching on Google to decide what to do next. I figured out doing a master's in material science and engineering which focus on semiconductors at ASU seemed a perfect decision to me back in 2020. With TSMC decision to construct a new fab in Phoenix, AZ back in summer 2020 and also presence of Intel in chandler, AZ has bolstered my decision. Now, the word 'TSMC' is so prevalent everywhere but back in 2020 when I used to talk about it no one used to understand what exactly I'm talking about and my reasoning sounded illogical to them. Nonetheless, planning early and thinking ahead does seems to be working for me. With a summer internship last year with TSMC AZ in Process Integration Department (PID) which further led to a advance offer. Now, I will be joining them again as a Process Integration Engineer in May. Really excited and looking forward for my second stint with TSMC AZ 😍 after my graduation ceremony. Despite all of that, firstly I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation to Dr. Kalarickal, my esteemed advisor, whose unwavering support and invaluable guidance have been the cornerstone of my research journey and my overall success at ASU. I owe a profound debt of gratitude to him for his consistent help and for providing an opportunity to a master's student to present my work at two different international conferences (EMC and GOX). Additionally, for helping me get two fellowships. Moreover, I also sincerely want to thank 🙏 both Roxanna L. and Tracy Tenkorang MGM, SHRM-CP for their invaluable assistance during and after my internship.
