This week at TopCashback HQ, we have had a TopTalk on Tracking. Samantha Mills and James Little took us through the ins and outs of tracking. The Process to get cashback to our members and the challenges we face with this and the approaches we are taking to overcome these. It was a super interesting in insightful TopTalk.
We'd love to hear more about what was discussed, rather than a photo of it 😂
I've been stung a few times. But fair play to TCB they operate with good ethics
I'm getting FOMO... I wish I was in that room!

6moI think this has been THE most frustrating and customer trust issue for TCb users. "Unfortunately, a number of things can be identified as the last referral , rather than ourselves including but not limited to: Pop up windows, previously saved quotes or baskets, cookies from previous sites, multiple browsers being opened or voucher codes. If we are not seen as the final referrer, the network will decline your cashback." I don't want to necessarily close all my tabs, enter my settings and clear my cache, cookies and history then close and restart my browser just because I've found one thing I want to buy and can get possibly get cashback from TCb if I do all these things! Even then there's a possibility that the device I'm using has an adblocker installed or some other cookie crunching mechanism that prevents TCb being able to say that they were the referring site. (Although sometimes I think it's also used as an excuse not to pay - as screenshots have been offered for the end-to-end process of purchase and this has been declined - usually with amounts due that are £20+ As lower amounts don't appear to attract this problem somehow, which is incredibly suss). I hope the challenges will get the focus they really need.
