Next time you find yourself in need of advice at a busy store, let your AI lend a hand. ⬇️
With everything going on, we decided to start a little kid-friendly meal prepping this weekend and happened to be driving past our local butcher... Normally, I would have just asked the butcher — but he was busy with other people. I took a quick picture of one of the meat coolers and used this prompt:
"Based on what you see in the cooler, which cut of beef should I consider for slow cooker shredded beef? Or, separately, if I wanted to serve steak and eggs?"
-- 🤖 Here is the instant AI recommendation:
"For slow cooker shredded beef, consider using the Chuck Roast. It has enough marbling to keep the meat tender and flavorful after slow cooking.
For steak and eggs, the Hanger Steak would be an excellent choice. It’s known for its rich flavor and tenderness, making it a great pairing with eggs.
Both options can be found in the image you provided:
- Chuck Roast is on the left side of the middle shelf.
- Hanger Steak is on the right side of the middle shelf.
--
(They were actually on different shelves, and the Hanger steak was in the center. But I could handle it from there.)
Multi-modal AI — using both text and images — changes the experience. I could have used voice prompts too and just had a conversation with the AI, but I am still a little hesitant to do that in a busy store. Soon, we’ll have the option of just interacting with the AI while it is “seeing” what we see, without having to upload a picture. It's like having a subject-matter expert in your pocket, making everyday tasks easier.
