This International Women's Day, we are proud to share our most recent firmwide data - nearly half of our workforce (48%) are women. Even more impressive, 21% of our leadership are women and women make up 38% of our board. In contrast, the broader private equity industry has some work to do to achieve gender parity, with only 10% of leadership roles and of 5% board roles held by women. This stark contrast only fuels our determination to lead the charge for change. I recently had the pleasure of working with Bridgepoint one of the world's leading quoted private asset growth investors. Over the next two years, I'll be taking their 2023 cohort of international associates on a journey to develop the mindset and listening skills required to communicate and present their research effectively. The firm is deeply committed to increasing the representation of women both in it's business, and in the asset management industry at large, which makes it a particular pleasure to be partnering with them. Their flagship initiative is the International Associate Programme, designed to ensure that 50% of all Associate-level hires are female, and to encourage all other forms of diversity, too. And it's working. In 2018, one in five of investment team members were women. A year later, the programme’s initial target of 25% female representation in the investment team was met. Currently the firm is working towards a target of 40% women in the team by 2025. Of course, to have a lasting impact, it is vital to retain and develop female investment team entrants into partner and director levels. The signs are good. In the three years to 2021, over 30% of promotions in the investment team were female, and 98% of more than 70 IAP recruits remained with the company. #GenderEquity #GenderEquality #Diversity #CommunicationSkills #BusinessVoiceCoach

This Tuesday, Dagens Industri highlighted a concerning trend: The Stockholm Stock Exchange has lost three of its top female CEOs in a short period of time. The development is particularly negative in larger companies, among the 135 large companies on the stock exchange, the percentage of female CEOs drops to just over 10 percent. (Source: https://lnkd.in/ergXkTfs)  This is a trend that we at Navigio find hard to accept. During 2022, Navigio hired almost twice as many women in CXO roles for our clients (47%) compared to AllBright's comprehensive 2022 industry report on CXO-level representation (27%). (Source: https://lnkd.in/dCWfyaxE).     Our approach is that we challenge what the role requires and find the most suitable person for this through our selection process. We utilize scientifically validated personality and aptitude assessments, combined with structured interviews, to provide our clients with a completely impartial and in-depth evaluation of candidates' competencies and potential. Additionally, we assess their capacity for growth and long-term success within their respective roles.   We at Navigio firmly believe that our clients have been matched with the most suitable candidates to fulfill their unique needs and ambitions.
