What is latency?! You can think of it like this,,,, a company in Bangalore is looking for candidates who are in Bangalore right now, and it's even better if they are immediate joiner and fall under the budget of the company. Here the latency is low as hiring process is faster and onboarding is smooth, but if the candidate is in Pune, mumbai or Delhi or some other part of the country, the latency becomes high, the HR may not select the profile, but if you are a good candidate, a relocation is still needed, they take many things into consideration. One of the reasons why many remote jobs are country specific(visa process, clearance, availability etc are factors) In the context of computer networks and systems, refers to the delay between a request and the corresponding response. It is often measured as the time it takes for a data packet to travel from the source to the destination and back. Low latency is crucial for applications requiring real-time processing and quick responsiveness, such as online gaming, video conferencing, and financial trading. Conclusion :- If you are planning for a specific position, always plan ahead . It's hard to get a job in Bangalore when you are at home in UP, but it is much easier to get the same job if you are somehow adjusting in a random PG in Bangalore. It may not be true in all the cases, but yes, it can be a constraint according to my experience. Tip:- If you are planning to go for a job outside your current location, mention the name of that company location in your CV to get noticed by the HRs and you can relocate later on by asking for a week or two weeks of time If it is not an immediate requirement. Good luck.... #latency #tips #cv #bangalore
