One of the most challenging things about the NIL market in college sports is how international athletes are affected by the rules. As of now, there is no real clear-cut answer or guidance that outlines how international athletes can take advantage of NIL opportunities. Most international college athletes are on an F1 visa, which makes it difficult for them to accept compensation of any kind stemming from their Name Image and Likeness. However, there are several examples of international athletes receiving NIL deals, like Miami Punter and Australian native, Lou Hedley. It is very frustrating in our college hockey market because approximately 30% of college hockey players are Canadian. It is a very difficult space to navigate that no one really seems to have a clear answer for. A lot of international athletes are not able to take advantage of many opportunities in college sports. I am hoping in the coming years that international athletes will have a clearer picture of what they can and cannot do in the NIL industry, because right now there is very little guidance. #nil #collegesports #internationalathletes #hockey #sports #canada #CGMSports #college #international

The mobilisation of the teachers was made possible thanks to the ISF cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the China School Sport Federation, the Educational Department of Liaoning Province, and the City of Dalian. Following, a first collaboration between the ISF and FIFA last year during the ISF Football World Cup 2023 in Rabat, Morocco, both organisation decided to further explore the opportunities to equip PE Teachers from the ISF members and schools’ network to develop their teaching and pedagogical Football skills through the FIFA for Schools programme. This major ISF Football event which will take place in 2024, 2026 and 2028 is China is an interesting context to further grow the collaboration between both institution on the education aspect in China and potentially worldwide. ISF Football World Cups is an event characterized by a balanced program between sport and educational content: the balance between sport and education is to create awareness about the role of sports in putting forward topics such as fair play, healthy lifestyle, respect, and inclusion. The educational program and sport format of the event shall always be adapted to the age of participants. FWC is open to the participation of all students attending a school that provides general education and/or vocational education incorporating segments of general education. https://lnkd.in/dcgu_ags

'\ Singapore’s Tchoukball Association is proud to host the inaugural Asia Pacific Schools Tchoukball Championships (APSTC) in 2025. This new competition aims to develop future national athletes and elevate the sport's standard in the region. The APSTC provides young Tchoukball enthusiasts with opportunities to represent their countries and grow the sport's popularity. The TBAS aims to strengthen the sport's foundation and maintain Singapore's prominence in Tchoukball. An organising secretariat comprising of education representatives from the various countries will be formed to determine the form and format of APSTC. Currently, the TBAS is considering to include Under 17 and Under 12 categories, with teams from various countries participating. Singapore’s players could be selected based on their performances in the National School Games (NSG). Although the NSG do not currently offer tchoukball competitions, the TBAS hopes that it will happen in the near future. Otherwise, TBAS will organise inter-schools tournaments to pick the team. We are excited to see young Tchoukball players from around the region showcase their skills and compete at the APSTC in 2025. https://lnkd.in/gy3QMSYq
