We are delighted to share the highlights from the Rugby School Japan House Music Competition 2024. This inaugural event, held on 21st March, brought our school community together to celebrate the artistic talents of our students. The Power of Belief The Olympics have always been about fair play and human endeavour. The IOC’s “Believe in Sport” campaign reignites that spirit (https://lnkd.in/gQs3vsTt). This is more than just education on doping or match-fixing. It’s about athletes being champions of integrity, the guardians of the very sport that inspires them. By believing in sport we believe in dedication, resilience and excellence without shortcuts. Here’s why: A level playing field is where athletes can be themselves. Fairness is the bedrock of trust and respect in sport. Educated athletes are the best defence against competition manipulation. Let’s all be champions of “Believe in Sport”. #BelieveInSport #Olympics #FairPlay #SportsIntegrity

🎖 Who Rules the Roost? Top Contenders for Best Centre Forward in the World The debate for the best striker is always fierce! Here are a few frontrunners to consider: 🥇 Erling Haaland (Manchester City): A physical force with incredible finishing, his goal-scoring record speaks for itself. 🥈 Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain): Lightning pace, clinical finishing, and young enough to keep getting better. 🏅 Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona): A goal machine with exceptional movement and a nose for the net. There are strong arguments for other players too. Who's your pick? Professional Sports Consultant, helping community sports in all areas - travel, education, management, fundraising plus more........
A couple of weeks ago I was interviewed for a podcast regarding the work we do at Cambridge Sports Development Foundation, helping students and building rugby within the Cambridge Community. (I have put the link for here again). One of my big passions (along with travel) is to help build the game and the experience of Rugby within communities and help Rugby Clubs establish a strong foothold, building a foundation, that can see them really establish something unique and worthwhile with their facilities and network/relationships that they have in their own surroundings. Personally, I don't feel enough is done on this within the game. Obviously the main focus of a rugby club is their rugby teams and members, but there is so much more that can be done. Since the podcast went live I have had a few email conversations and Teams meetings with individuals that are interested to learn more. They are keen to learn about what we have done, and how they can adapt this to their own Rugby Club and area. How does it work financially? Is it viable? How does it work? What are the steps? What do you need? What are the benefits? and so on............ My belief is that the majority of grassroot Rugby Clubs, would be able to put something similar to what we have done at Cambridge Rugby Club into their own Club, and really benefit from the opportunity in a number of ways. Some are already out there doing great work, and this post is focussed on those hat want to help, but just don't know how to get started. If you are involved with a local rugby club and would like to arrange a chat/conversation on what we do, and to see if this is something that can be installed to your local club, then feel free to get in touch - drop me a DM through LinkedIn, and I will get back to you. Alternatively look Cambridge Rugby Club up online and my contact details are on the website. I appreciate this isn't for everyone, and I know how busy Volunteers/Committee Members are at local clubs - but one conversation could mean a change for the better for one young person. Wouldn't that be awesome? https://lnkd.in/efgQGP59

‘Milos Raonic hits record 47 aces as Cameron Norrie makes early Queen’s exit’ (Evening Standard newspaper) I would have been very frustrated & bored, if I had paid to be at Queen’s for that match………! Imagine, if I was to organise a business event, charge you a lot of money for the privilege of getting in and then fleece you for drinks and food – would you attend? You might if the content & the experience were memorable. Time to put the paying spectator at the centre of this experience. So let's make tennis a better spectator sport. Try a single serve game. First serve doesn’t go in, its point over and move on to the next point. This would speed up the game considerably and make it a lot more attractive to watch. What about reducing the number of sets from five to three for the grand slams? Same logic. I play tennis, but I don’t want to sit and watch two players slog it out for up to five hours. Its boring. What do you think? #Businessowners #Womeninbusiness #Entertainment

Creating wealth solutions for families, business owners, professional athletes & coaches using Premium Funding for Life Insurance and Private Placement Life Insurance
Copa América organizers are still dealing with the aftermath of the logistical chaos that hit Hard Rock Stadium for Sunday night’s Argentina-Colombia final, which was ultimately delayed by more than an hour after thousands of unruly fans breached security. But the spotlight will quickly shift to an even bigger—and potentially even more challenging—international soccer event set to be played in North America. The 2026 FIFA World Cup, less than 23 months away, will bring a supersized version of Copa América to the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The newly expanded World Cup will be a 48-team competition—triple the 16 nations that competed in this summer’s tournament. And Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium is one of eight Copa América venues that will also host matches in ’26, along with another eight stadiums throughout the continent. The expansion from the traditional 32 teams should shatter the World Cup attendance record of 3.58 million that is still standing from the last time the U.S. hosted in ’94. But, as fans from all around the world descend upon North America, there could be even more operational headaches for FIFA and local organizers in host cities. For the 2026 World Cup, Hard Rock Stadium is set to host four group-stage matches, a round-of-32 match, one quarterfinal, and the third-place game.
