Dylan Rheault seems like a genuine guy and is always sharing other people's wins. We all grow together 🚀 One of the realest people on this platform, CT Falk told me to check out the work that Apex Revenue was doing. Said months ago that they were going to change the game 🔥 They only hire in person so it wasn't in alignment at the time, but I followed Justin Middleton and have seen them take off. Then more and more people started popping up. Added CEO Joey Gilkey off a comment he made about being holistic without even realizing he was with Apex. Ryan Reisert, Josh Braun, and Morgan Ingram were the first 3 LinkedIn influencers I knew of before I was even active on LinkedIn. So when I saw Ryan was involved, I knew it was legit Thomas W. Team awards are great! But they often fail to recognise the team members whose efforts and talent are being celebrated. And when you look back at the winning team, at that place and that time, it may just not bear any resemblance to the members who now hold the mantle. Think of your favourite sports team who hasn't won anything in recent decades but for whom the current team members are associated with the achievements of those past members, irrespective of their current performance or actual ability to bring in the next 'trophy'. I have learned valuable lessons from being a part of a basketball team and it has taught me, how to be a comprehensive team player. In basketball, you have to work together with your teammates, communicate effectively, and support each other on and off the court. You have to trust your coach, follow the game plan, and adapt to different situations. You have to respect your opponents, play fair, and accept the outcome. But perhaps the most challenging and rewarding aspect of being a team player is understanding your role and embracing it. Some days, you will be playing on the field as one of the main five players, contributing to the team's success with your skills and performance. Some days, you will be celebrating the main five from the bench, cheering them on, learning from the outside, and cheering them. Both roles are equally important and require a high level of commitment, humility, and selflessness. I believe that being a team player is not only a skill, but a way of life.

Even though I loved pursuing professional golf as a career for a time, there was something I always did miss: Being a part of a team. Sure I got to be a part of teams in high school and college, but golf is largely still an individual game. Fast forward several years, and I’ve worked at a number of companies where I’ve had opportunities to be a part of a team. I’ve already started to love being a part of my current team for a few reasons: 1. We actually use the solution we’re selling (some people call it “drinking your own Kool-Aid”). 2. Because of the previous reason, we are all invested in making sure this solution is awesome, which makes this a genuinely safe place for new ideas to be brought to the table. 3. Everyone is engaged and aligned in embodying our core values and reaching our goals. This last one has been key for me - mainly due to the fact that I’ve worked at other companies for years not knowing what our core values are. 3 weeks here at Nectar, and I can already recite them to you from memory. As amazing as the game golf is and the countless life lessons it’s taught me, being a part of a team where everyone is engaged will take you further than being a lone wolf.
