Last week I attended my third Career Readiness class in Generasi GIGIH 3.0. This class carried the theme Build Impactful CV which was presented by Kak Taufiq Bashori. After attending this class, I have a better understanding of the right CV. Although I previously had some understanding of CVs that I thought was correct, it turned out that it was not. Some things that are the right mindset about CVs are as follows: 1. Treat your CV as your professional branding 2. Put yourself in the shoes of the recruiter - Think from the perspective of the recruiter or employer who will be assessing your CV. You should strive to explain your experience, skills and achievements in a way that is relevant and appealing to the employer who is looking for a suitable candidate for the position. 3. Recruitment is about selling yourself - A CV is about offering our value, and the goals we want to achieve. Through this class, I learned how to create a strong CV that is not only self-descriptive, but also fit for purpose. In addition, I also got some tips on how to make a good CV. Some of the tips I got are as follows: 1. Personal/Brand statement - Find what best describes you, what you are good at, what you like. To find this, you can ask people around you or coworkers who have worked with you. 2. Key Accomplishments - Accomplishments are things that we achieve well and with great effort and skill. We can use AQS (Action verbs, measurable evidence, & what specific tasks) in writing our key achievements. 3. Work Experience - Not only industry experience, but it can also be volunteering or impactful personal projects. Those are some insights and reflections that I can get and apply in creating an impactful CV, thank you GoTo Impact Foundation for this class. #GenerasiGIGIH #BergerakBerdampakBersama #FutureReadyTalent #GoToImpactFoundation

Hello everyone, On this occasion, I would like to share my experience after participating in the "Building an Impactful CV" session during the Generasi Gigih 3.0 Career Readiness Class by GoTo Impact Foundation. In this session, I gained insights into crafting a CV that leaves a strong impression when applying for jobs. Before assembling a CV that resonates, it's important to adopt the right mindset. Moreover, we should treat our CV as a tool for professional branding, see it from recruiters' perspectives, and understand that the recruitment process essentially involves selling ourselves. A CV comprises several sections including personal information, a link to the LinkedIn profile, educational background, work experiences, and interests. Hence, we have the opportunity to showcase various accomplishments. Achievements aren't solely limited to awards or triumphs in competitions; they can also encompass successful instances that demanded extra effort, courage, or specialized skills. These achievements reflect our talents, personal character, and potential for leadership. Additionally, it's crucial to employ the AQS approach (Action verbs, Quantifiable evidence, & Specific tasks) when describing these accomplishments within the CV. Another critical aspect of the CV is the work experience section: it's advisable for this part to highlight our key accomplishments relevant to the context of work experiences, with the aim of illustrating the value we can bring to the companies we are applying for. Rather than just listing job descriptions, we should emphasize the positive impact we've made. However, if we lack formal work experience, there's no need to worry. Internships or volunteer experiences can also be valuable points in our CV. The key is to establish connections between these experiences and the demands of the job roles we are pursuing. My participation in the "Building an Impactful CV" session has provided me with new insights. Thank you very much for paying attention to my reflections. I hope your day is filled with happiness! #GenerasiGiGIH #BergerakBerdampakBersama #FutureReady #GoToImpactFoundation

A few days ago, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Career Readiness Class: Build An Impactful CV, organized by the Generasi GIGIH program under the GoTo Impact Foundation, and led by Kak Aushi Ariana P.. The experience was truly transformative, enlightening me on the purpose of a CV, how to present the best version of myself, understand its key sections, and tailor it to fit the desirable standards of the tech industry. A CV, or Curriculum Vitae, is not merely a document listing one's academic and professional history; it is a powerful tool that introduces us to potential employers. During the career readiness class, I came to realize that a well-crafted CV should not only highlight our qualifications and experiences but also convey our unique personality, passion, and potential. It serves as a marketing pitch, showcasing the value we can bring to a prospective employer or a particular industry. The career readiness class provided in-depth insights into the key sections of a CV, such as the professional summary, work experience, education, skills, and achievements. We learned that each section plays a vital role in conveying our suitability for a particular role. The professional summary serves as the elevator pitch, grabbing the attention of recruiters and encouraging them to read further. The class emphasized the significance of ensuring that our CV is easily scannable by applicant tracking systems (ATS). Simple formatting, relevant keywords, and precise information became essential components of an effective tech industry CV. I am immensely grateful for this incredible opportunity, as it has helped me to enhance my career readiness and professional journey. I look forward to applying these newfound skills and knowledge to achieve my aspirations. #GenerasiGIGIH #BergerakBerdampakBersama #FutureReadyTalent #YABB #GoToImpactFoundation

Hello all, On this occasion, I would like to share my experience of participating in the "Build An Impactful CV" session of the Career Readiness Workshop for Generasi Gigih 3.0. During this session, I learned about creating an impactful CV. Before creating a CV, it's important to have the right mindset. To create an impactful CV, we need to treat it as professional branding, put ourselves in the shoes of recruiters, and understand that hiring is about selling ourselves. In a CV, there should be sections for personal details, a LinkedIn link, education, work experience, and interests. Therefore, you can include your achievements. Achievements are not limited to awards or winning competitions; they can also encompass successful endeavors that require effort, courage, or skill. These achievements showcase your skills, character, and leadership. Remember to use AQS (Action verb, Quantifiable evidence, & Specific task) when describing your achievements. Another important note about the work experience section: it should highlight your key achievements and demonstrate your value rather than just listing job descriptions. If you don't have any work experience, don't worry, as you can also include internship or volunteer experience. However, it's important to ensure alignment between your experience and the role you are applying for. In conclusion, my participation in the Career Readiness Workshops "Build an Impactful CV" segment offered me valuable insights. Thank you for taking the time to engage with my reflections.
