🔈 New scientific publication alert, perfectly timed with the Research Appreciation Day that's being celebrated worldwide today 🎉 We’re thrilled to share that our latest research has been selected as an Editor’s suggestion in Physical Review A 👏 The paper, “Amorphous quantum magnets in a two-dimensional Rydberg array”, results from the work of Pasqal's Quantum Simulation Team members Sergi Julià-Farré, Ph. D., Joseph Vovrosh and Alexandre Dauphin. This work highlights the potential of neutral atom programmable #quantum simulators for studying amorphous materials. That is, systems in which the quantum constituents are not arranged in a simple crystalline structure but rather in a complex pattern with some properties common to disordered systems. Remarkably, amorphous systems are crucial in applications ranging from solar cells to pharmaceuticals! While the exotic nature of these systems makes them extremely hard to study with classical numerical methods in the quantum regime, our team demonstrates that neutral atom technology offers a scalable solution to investigate them. Why? The answer lies in one of the main advantages of this quantum simulation platform: the inherent flexibility in the layout design. Dive into the details of our study and join us in advancing the frontiers of quantum science! https://lnkd.in/eJR_QWV3
