Hey folks! 🚀 Super Stoked to Share My Latest Endeavor: Alpine Groove Guide! 🚀 You know me—I'm all about where community meets the arts. Fueled by the legendary spirit of WWOZ and their awesome "Livewire" and our very own Colorado Springs/Front Range scene, I've been cooking up something special. Introducing "Alpine Groove Guide," the go-to digital spot for finding the coolest music, events, and cultural gatherings in town. 🎺🎶 📈 Current Progress: (Near Beta testing!) 💥 Backend Magic: I've used this project as a means to tighten up my Backend API skills, the project is complete with user sign-ins, registrations, event submissions—you name it. All Postman tested and, soon this baby will be ready to keep you looped into the local scene like never before. (BE Stack: Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL) 🎊 Frontend Fun: Tackling TypeScript and getting my hands dirty with Next.js has been a blast. The app's shaping up to showcase events and streamline how we connect. I have Auth, Registrations and Logins working great, and I'm on the brink of nailing down event submissions. (FE Stack: React, NextJs, TailwindCSS, and TypeScript) 🏔️🕺 "Alpine Groove Guide" is more than a project—it's my shout-out to the rhythm and soul of Colorado Springs and the Colorado Front Range. Whether you're looking to dive into our local culture or just scouting for something fun, this guide's your ticket. With the beta version nearly ready to drop, I can't wait to see how this brings our community a little closer! I've been considering implementing a small subscription model down the line to keep this ship sailing smoothly, making sure "Alpine Groove Guide" stays lit as our community's go-to event calendar. Keep your eyes peeled for what's next and massive thanks for the love and support from my friends, mentors, and peers. Check out "Alpine Groove Guide!" Let me know what you think 🌟 (here's a taste, a screenshot, of the basic - "Iteration 1" of the Event's page, More details and features to come!) #AlpineGrooveGuide #KEEPLEARNING #Grow #productivestruggle #codinglife #Nextjs #buildingcommunity #musictech

#aATeam3 Mid-crunch-week update on our team's progress in #appacademy's hackathon. After laying the foundations of our project with Next.js, Rails, and React, we have started churning out front-end pages one-by-one. Here are some of our highlights: -Learning Tailwind CSS for fast and easy style management -Plugging daisyUI and Headless UI into Tailwind to speed up page creation -Leveraging these tools for responsive design on every page -Implementing front-end auth to work with our client's Devise routes -Prioritizing client communication with daily screenshots and standup I am proud of my teammates for getting into their element. We are using an impressive number of new tech and tools to make our client's application more powerful and maintainable. And there's still time left. Raoul Andalis Chun Lau Michael Shih Jiong Qi Pan

🚀 #FullStackJourney: Day 27 🚀 ⚛️ React Refs and Event Handling: Navigating Interactivity ⚛️ Welcome to Day 27 of your Full Stack Journey! Today, let's dive into two crucial aspects of React - Refs and Event Handling. Understanding these concepts will empower you to create more interactive and dynamic user interfaces in your React applications. 💻🔧 Step 1: Understanding React Refs Explore the concept of React Refs, a mechanism for directly interacting with and accessing a DOM element or a React component instance. Understand how refs facilitate direct manipulation and interaction. Action Item: Share instances where you've used React refs in your projects. How did they contribute to handling focus, triggering animations, or interacting with third-party libraries? #ReactRefsUsage 🔄🎯 Step 2: Using Refs with Forms and Inputs Understand how to use React refs with forms and input elements. Explore scenarios where refs can enhance the handling of user input and form validation. Action Item: Share snippets where you've employed refs to manage user input in forms. How did refs contribute to a more seamless form handling experience? #ReactRefsForms 🔄📝 Step 3: Event Handling in React Dive into event handling in React components. Understand how to capture and respond to user interactions, such as clicks, keypresses, and form submissions. Action Item: Share code examples where you've implemented event handling in your React components. How did event handling contribute to creating dynamic and interactive user interfaces? #ReactEventHandling 🔄🕹️ Step 4: Binding Event Handlers with Arrow Functions Explore different approaches for binding event handlers in React, with a focus on using arrow functions to maintain the correct this context. Action Item: Share insights into how you've bound event handlers in your React components. How did using arrow functions contribute to avoiding common pitfalls with this? #ReactEventHandlersArrowFunctions 🔗🔄 Refs and event handling are essential tools for building interactive and responsive React applications. Share your explorations and experiences using #FullStackJourney. Tomorrow, we'll continue our React journey by exploring form handling and validation. Happy coding! 🚀⚛️ #ReactRefsEvents #WebDevelopment #FullStackDeveloper #Day27 #CodeJourney
