Interesting development, but not appropriate for safety development by itself. Individually blocking out troublesome topics is like whack -a-mole. I don't think they can even undertake a lobotomy equivalent excision, because topics are not clustered. In any case, this is nothing even close to Asimov's Three Laws. Do not use an LLM for anything important. Also interesting to note that the clowns at OpenAI have whacked their safety team, and then signed the second round of the Bletchley declaration. Key points: ▫️ The decision to fire Altman was driven by a breakdown of trust, rather than AI safety concerns. ▫️ There was a significant internal revolt among OpenAI employees following Altman's dismissal. ▫️ The conflict highlighted a division within OpenAI between those prioritizing AI safety and those focusing on technological progress. ▫️ Toner had co-authored a paper criticizing OpenAI's approach to AI safety, which contributed to her clash with Altman. ▫️ Altman attempted to remove Toner from the board, leading to further tensions. ▫️ The departure of Toner and other board members eventually paved the way for Altman's reinstatement as CEO.
