We’re rolling out the ability for ChatGPT Free users to create up to two images per day with DALL·E 3. Just ask ChatGPT to create an image for a slide deck, personalize a card for a friend, or show you what something looks like.

facebook allows me to create as many as I want, two per day ? just kidding.

I'm sorry Open AI, but Dall-E is not your strongest horse... But I Guess it's not because of computing power or training data... There's something else holding you back... Regulations? Afraid of being sued? Otherwise why should i even consider using Dall-E for images when there's tools like FLUX out there? Sorry a big fan but not with images... at least for now Stay Bright 💙

I have to give kudos to their product team. They are trying hard to keep OpenAI's lead, despite the turmoil: - Meta released llama3.1 405b at $3/1mn tokens, so OpenAI released their latest GPT4o at $2.5/1mn tokens. - Black Forest opensourced Flux image generator, so they are giving 2 DALLE3 images for free. If you notice, they are rapidly responding to competition.

Although every 2 dimes you give away a day are of course much appreciated by your users... "2 images per day?" Why not do: "60 images a month"? So people can decide when they need these images and for what. Now it would take a month to create a comic strip... Because you and I know that half of those 60 images (I am an optimist) are what you'd use. Remember July 2022? When we finished all alpha testing? After lots of discussions with us, you then first introduced a pricing model for generating images, providing initial users with 50 free credits for the first month, and then 15 free credits each subsequent month.... Each credit allowed the submission of a text prompt which could return four - yes 4 - images. Users who needed more credits could purchase additional packs: $15 for 115 credits. This pricing allowed users to generate images at a cost of $0.02 per 1024x1024 image. The API pricing, once introduced, followed similar lines but was positioned to be slightly cheaper than using the DALL-E through OpenAI’s website interface... More importantly, DALL-E 2 users were not patronized back then. Oh, by the way, as you can tell from my OpenAI profile info, I am not saying this for myself.

Just tried it. Adobe Firefly pales in comparison. It's amazing that OpenAI could be so much better than a software designed by a design software company, but...it's true.

Two. Images. Per day. Two. Per day. Two.

I insist again, what is the added value of paying 20 dollars, if they are finally releasing all the functions.

Hi there! I wanted to share a few thoughts with you. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1trRRCmIzZSQNekhejflDVZsjXf4b9w-reKwDlqBox7g/edit?usp=drivesdk 1. The link describes the EAR/EIM (Extended Augmented Reality / Educational Interactive Multiverse) tool that could be created by AI in future. 2. AI could create voice clone dubbing for YouTube videos, allowing us to watch, for example, science popularization lectures in any language with a translation into the language of our choice.
