Salesforce in London: A Journey from Shy to Connected
I've been living in London for two months now, and I've already attended three Salesforce events:
1st event - Salesforce's UK Week of Innovation - 0 connections
2nd event - London Salesforce Women in Tech November 2023 - 1 connection
3rd event - London Community Holiday and Xmas Megameet (Admins, Devs and Women in Tech groups) - 8 connections
As an introvert, I'm not exactly the life of the party, but I do enjoy being part of a community. I've learned that consistency and seeing familiar faces are key to making new connections.
I used to be a bit lost in my career path. I graduated with a degree in one field, but I ended up in a completely different industry – Salesforce – which I never even knew existed! These events and the Salesforce ecosystem I've become a part of have given me a lot of motivation and a clearer vision of my career possibilities.
Now, I'm not saying that there are no Salesforce people in Vilnius. Maybe I was just living under a rock, or maybe the Salesforce ecosystem there isn't as visible. But one thing's for sure: London is definitely the place to be for Salesforce enthusiasts!
