So, "The Three-Body Problem" came out last week on Netflix, and I was really looking forward to it. The source material is a bit complex—I highly recommend the read for anyone even slightly interested in sci-fi. However, translating such intricate books into a solid TV-show format is no easy task. Like... really hard. Yet, about halfway through, it proves to be a very successful adaptation, which is truly commendable work from all involved.
However, I find myself asking: Where's the "Three-Body Problem" game? This is precisely the kind of intellectual property that would typically have a game attached to it, and considering that Netflix now has its own gaming platform, it feels like the perfect opportunity to launch one alongside the show, attracting both new and old fans to the platform. It's not like the books are obscure—they're widely known, with even President Obama having recommended them at one point.
The point is, this is definitely an IP that I'd love to see a game made for. Just as it's challenging to adapt the material for TV, crafting a game would present its own set of difficulties. What do you envision a "Three-Body Problem" game looking like? Share your thoughts below!
PS. If you are looking for something to play right now, Princess Peach: Showtime is awesome!
