How do you plan to change the announced network if it is still necessary to avoid a Suez routing in 2025? And will you still promise 90% reliability in that case going around Africa?

That sounds like a game-changer for global logistics! How do you anticipate the new shuttle services will complement Maersk's mainliner services in terms of optimizing global supply chain operations? What benefits do you expect these enhancements to bring to customers and partners utilizing your ocean network?

This new ocean network sounds impressive, with 58 services and over 6,000 port combinations worldwide! The focus on reliability, reach, and speed is crucial for global trade. The shuttle services, in particular, will play a vital role by providing reliable and flexible options with minimal port calls. Combined with seamless connectivity at highly productive hubs, Maersk is setting a new standard in ocean logistics. Excited to see the positive impact this will have on global shipping starting February 2025!

Standards are not the same as performance. 90% Schedule Reliability will require almost 100% hub reliability, just to deliver 75-80% of cargo on-time at their final destination. It is a beautiful vision but cargo flow fluctuations make this near impossible. Let’s imagine no Red Sea Crisis, Panama Canal restrictions, CGH bad weather, strikes or the other thousand things worldwide shipping face every year. Good luck

Wow, Maersk is really making waves with this new network! 🌊🚢 This is an exciting development for the logistics industry! The introduction of shuttle services, particularly with Maersk's full operation, will likely revolutionize the way we think about reliability and flexibility in ocean transport. By minimizing port calls, these shuttles can reduce congestion and delays, which is crucial for time-sensitive shipments. Additionally, the seamless connectivity at hubs could pave the way for more synchronized and efficient supply chains, potentially lowering costs and improving service levels for end customers. Looking forward to seeing how this new network will enhance global trade dynamics! 🚢🌍
