Modernizing large Monolithic Mainframe application estates to Cloud requires an implementation approach that minimizes migration risk and impact to end-users. A big bang migration approach is risky in such scenarios because of the size and complexity of the monolith. The Strangler Fig pattern (introduced by Martin Fowler - https://lnkd.in/evggHR_M) is an effective modernization pattern in such scenarios.
