Reflecting on the 98th Annual Vice Chancellors’ Meet of Association of Indian Universities.
The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education had the opportunity to host the 98th Annual Vice Chancellors’ Meet of Association of Indian Universities at Leonia Holistic Destination , Hyderabad.
As we wrap up the groundbreaking Vice Chancellors’ Conference, I am filled with a sense of pride and optimism for the future of higher education in India. This conference, has been a melting pot of ideas, experiences, and aspirations, aimed at fostering leadership in academia with technical sessions on Bharatiya Knowledge System, Internationalisation of Higher Education in India, integration of Skill Development and Vocational Training in the Higher Education System of India and many more.
The discussions and insights gained over these three days have been nothing short of transformative. We delved into the challenges and opportunities that come with promoting the Indian knowledge within universities.
Key takeaways from the conference include:
1. The importance of mentorship and capacity building for students enrolled in the University system across the country.
2. The need for policies that not only promote but ensure the induction of international curriculum in the Indian Universities.
3. The recognition that diversity and inclusion are not just concepts but practical necessities for the holistic development of educational institutions.
4. Utilizing the digital technology for dissemination of literacy, information and education.
The conference has set a precedent for what can be achieved when we come together to champion the cause of education. It’s a step towards not just balancing the scales but also enriching the academic landscape with diverse perspectives.
