Expert in people assessment for recruitment and development. Psychometrics I Assessment Centres I Skills I Training
💻 Just ran an enjoyable webinar with Rachel Dalboth at The Talent Labs (Formerly The Firm) on recruiting against Culture and Values. Key takeaways were: 👁 Make them observable, and therefore easier to assess: what would you see people doing that embody the desired value / culture? 🏃♀️ Incorporate an assessment of motivational alignment: not only in your interview questions or psychometrics, but also by making it a two-way process. SHOW candidates what the values and culture look like in practice and let them self-select in or out. 👥 When assessing fit, identify an 'acceptable band' of values / cultural alignment so as to preserve diversity; rather than rigidly insisting upon one set way of behaving. Any further points to bear in mind below are welcome!

Help Desk Analyst at Insight Global
1moI only hear from the account manager once a year if not that and from 4th recruiter maybe twice a year, am I supposed to be the one to stay in close contact with them here at insight global? I wish somebody would have told me and I would have started 😕 checking in with everyone at every couple of months, the people that I am contracted to hear from you guys all the time and nobody contacts me at all, I walk 3 miles a day to and from the job and I am never late and when I need a day off I have to eat it because I don't get any PTO or anything like it and the pay I get is what I get for the duration of the contract so I have nothing to look forward to from day to day other my paycheck on Friday and i do work with 2 of best guys I have worked in the 30 years of being in IT and if it wasn't for them I would have kicked this job to the Kirb a long time ago.
