I Just Love What I Do! Yeah. I re-introduced myself yesterday, stating what I do following a prompt from the #boldnetworkvisibilitychhallenge. Like I said, I love what I do and I'm going to tell you why. As a STEM/ICT instructor, I get to inspire young minds and watch my students grow into innovators and problem-solvers. There's nothing better than seeing a student finally understand a difficult concept or come up with a creative solution to a challenge. I may not have any mini-mes of my own (yet!), but I've 'parented' enough young minds to earn an honorary parenting badge! With all the STEM/ICT tutoring, teaching, and EdTech adventures I've been on, I've basically become a 'rental' parent 😂😂😂 to a whole squad of curious learners! No offense to the real parents out there, but I'm just keeping it real Based on the above, as a parent and teacher, I get to experience the joy of learning all over again through my own children's eyes and I share these parenting tips and resources with other parents to help them support their children's learning journey. But what gets me excited is the intersection of education and technology - #EdTech! I believe that technology can enhance the learning experience and make it more accessible, engaging, and fun. I love exploring new EdTech tools and resources and sharing them with my students, parents, and fellow educators. So, that's why I do what I do. I believe that together, we can empower the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers! Oh, lest I forget, I'm a data analyst enthusiast too. 😁 What about you? What are you passionate about? Share with me in the comments below! #SolvingEducationChallenges: The Future Is Bright✨ Students, we hear you! The struggle of handling hard tasks and school assignments can, at times, feel incredibly daunting. No more worries though, considering immense platforms like Chegg are emerging as leading providers of academic support.📚 While a subscription is typically your gateway to gain complete access, did you dig deeper? In an intriguing revelation, Ai Guides Guru proposes ways to access Chegg's goldmine of knowledge *without* incurring costs. Yes, you heard that right! Here's my take on this discovery: 1️⃣ An Increased Need for Accessibility: The epitome of ed-tech innovation should intend to make education accessible for all, regardless of socio-economic backgrounds. Chegg, take note. Let's strive more towards inclusivity, shall we? 2️⃣ Monetization vs Equality: Of course, continued operation and expansion of such educational platforms necessitate funding. But it's critical to balance monetization and equality. Students already crushed under steep tuition fees need sustainable solutions. 3️⃣ Boost in Self-learning: Desperate times call for innovative measures. If there exist ways for students to access academic support for free, it stimulates an environment ripe for self-learning and proactive educational quest. The outcome? A more enlightened society. All in all, it’s a powerful reminder for all education-tech enterprises. The primary mission, after all, must be to empower students and equip them with the resources they need. Education must never an unreachable luxury, but an accessible right. Here's hope that this news brings a delightful ripple to both educational technology platforms and learners globally. Let's propagate an environment that strongly supports all forms of educational accessibility. 🌐 #education #studysupport #chegg #accessibilityintech #edutech

Inspiring day at the STEM Connect Series event hosted by our partner, Omaha STEM Ecosystem, at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. Hope and Innovation with Jaime Casap, the visionary former Google Chief Educational Evangelist who launched Chromebooks, a tool for K-12 and higher education. Thought-provoking insights on education, technology, and the future of work. His theme, "Being More Human in the Age of Robots," challenged and inspired educators, business professionals, and industry leaders, underscoring the importance of early STEM education and practical learning experiences in preparing the next generation for the new age of work. The event not only spotlighted educational innovation but also emphasized the role of the community in nurturing the future workforce. And hey, let's talk about something Jaime said that really stuck with me. "I often hear people say, 'I am not techy.' You know what? That's a choice, not a limitation." It's like me and cooking. I've been married to a professional chef for 8 years, but can I cook? Nope! Because I choose not to learn. If I really wanted to, I'm sure I'd be whipping up gourmet meals by now. It's the same with tech. 'If you want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find excuses. Make that choice to learn, grow, and embrace the tech world. #neverstoplearning #getintotech AIM Institute #STEM #stemcareers

This thought-provoking The New York Times opinion piece by Jessica Grose, entitled 'Most Teachers Know They're Playing With Fire When They Use Tech in the Classroom' 👩💻🏫 resonated with me, particularly in light of the recent AI webinar I attended through Regent University School of Education. This is not the first opinion piece I have read from Grose. She previously critiqued the pitfalls of educational technology in American classrooms. While her previous NYT piece raised valid concerns about the pre-pandemic rush to technology, she broadened her observations on educators using educational technology in schools today. 💡 The pandemic years of schooling were a scramble for unprepared schools, but they also offered valuable insights. Educators incorporated their experiences (good and bad) from those years into their current classroom environments. Now that most Americans' second full year of in-person school is about to conclude, there is new information on how educational technology has benefited students and teachers. Grose's quote at the beginning of the article states there "is not a strong evidence base on which to completely redesign an entire schooling system." The study from which that quote was pulled was conducted in 2020; with new information and adjustments since then, school systems need to start planning portions of redesign to the curriculum and instruction to highlight educational technology tools, resources, and the new digital way of life and learning. 🔧💻 What are your thoughts on the role of technology in education? #education #educationaltechnology #AI #futureofwork
