Ever experienced that stiff feeling after a marathon coding session? 🖥️ This is your reminder to stretch and take breaks!
I cannot believe this is a post from google showing "standing up after 12 hours of coding". Insane. Some people on high ranking in Google have failed Google employees bitterly, regarding health issues if this is fact inside Google offices. BTW, anyone remember a general advice about driving on motorway during long trip, regarding safety and rest?
That's why you should opt for a brown switch back and not blue switch one. Too noisy
Always remember to use pomodoro during coding sessions in most cases, helps in stretching during intervals and also improves the over-all productivity in the long run by a large margin. (Note: in some cases context about the certain implementation you're working on, may need to be remembered to continue back again from the part you left without needing to waste time figuring things out again.)
All the hard work will only lead to a decline in health. No matter how much you earn from immersing yourself in work, it will never be enough to maintain a healthy body. We have only one life, so take care of it.
Standing desk is very important not only for your upper body but your lower body too. Every time you feel you need to stand up your body is speaking to you so dont ignore it because over time not caring it will only show when you get old.
12 hours and what have you contributed to anything apart from some lines in a behemoth of a codebase that only higher ups get credit for ? And people want this kind of life ? 12 hr coding? This is not something to aspire to
I feel bad for anyone who has to do anything for 12 hours straight. The most productivity at work I ever had was a 6 hour marathon. Anything longer than that was for game jams or hackathons which were over the span of three days. I wouldn’t wanna work at a place that expects me to sit for 12 hours straight to do anything.
Yeah, after about 6 hours I'm taking a walk or something to take my eyes off of the screen for a moment. That's why it is good to invest in a high quality desk and chair if you want to jump in this industry....
