We're back from a short chocolate-based break and reflecting on closing our first quarter of the year. And what a Q1 it was! We could post the usual updates about the new clients we got to work with (many!) and the key project milestones we achieved (loads!) but instead we asked the team what their true Q1 highlights were and loved what we heard back. "It's been great to see us sticking to our Values in our hiring process and continuing to be honest with our clients." "Making hires and investing in the business even in turbulent times. Cool confident decision making." "A new business pipeline that gets more exciting week on week and continuing to grow and evolve our network and connections in the industry." "Receiving epic client feedback in high pressure client situations and being confident in what we’re delivering and the value we add." "Saying yes to systems, software and being brave and open to new ways of doing things. Feeling really slick, efficient and productive (and then you remember we are a 4-day-week business!)" "Watching team members fly – Carly’s hit 6 months and is already integral to how we do things – and reuniting with old clients, stepping into relationships already full of trust." "Saying yes to TTW officially as a full time team member and getting the opportunity to present at my first pitch and taking a new business meeting solo." "Starting to onboard and understand our new clients, getting to know the people and culture and figuring out how we’re going to work together. In 3 years, we've gotten AMZ Prep to be one of the largest in the Amazon logistics space we play in. Along the way, I’ve learned what’s important as a founder. 1/ Provide vision As a founder, your vision is your guiding force. Communicate your company’s mission but be open to how it can evolve w/ your team. 2/ Hire talented people Making the right hires can be transformative. On the other side, hiring the wrong ones can run your biz into the ground. Make time for the interviews, it’s so critical. 3/ Build culture The values that shape your team is crucial to an organization Are you fostering an environment conducive to innovation? We are just working on building actual values and a strong mission for next year. We aren’t perfect, but are working on getting better. 4/ Keep Momentum I can’t emphasize how critical momentum is. It’s so hard to get, but once it's nailed - you’ll be strong for it. - What would you add here?
