FotMob is now a proud sponsor of a girls’ football team from Zanzibar called Zanzibar Sparks, which was established by an organization promoting girls’ rights, Women Empowerment Zanzibar (WEZA). They will be attending a football cup in France in May, and will also visit Paris to meet the Tanzanian ambassador, and possibly even the President of Tanzania. FotMob’s logo has been placed on the coaches polo shirts and on the team attire polo shirts that the entire team is going to wear for their official reception at the Tanzanian Embassy in Paris. We wish the girls the best of luck in the tournament 💪 😍 https://lnkd.in/dx78h2Xn

*** NEW CAMPAIGN *** Today we are launching a new campaign, if you want to see more as it’s released, Head over to https://lnkd.in/eYFFJgvd What does it mean to be Extraordinary? To have a special quality or a greatness unrivalled by others. To be very unusual or unique and be celebrated for standing out. How about those who are Extra Ordinary? The majority of people who are very similar with their own individual strengths and weaknesses. Children with an extra ‘21’ chromosome are just like all other children. They have their own personalities and likes and dislikes. Their own sense of self and style. They want to do everything other children do and to be accepted and represented fairly. On 21st of March we are launching this campaign ‘Extra Ordinary’ to highlight some amazing children with Down Syndrome. We want to show the world how these children, like all children are very unique in their own way but are just children, finding their own way in the world. There are currently ten children featured with many more lined up. We have focused this on the northeast but would love to include children all around the UK if we could secure some sponsorship. The campaign will be created over the next 12 months and fully launched with an exhibition in March 2025. The aim of this campaign is showcasing the stories of some children with Down syndrome to normalise it and promote inclusion. If you want to support my self funded project you can do so here https://lnkd.in/eSz5KVYh

Personal Brand Aligner | Leadership Coach | Strategy Consultant | Activator | "Infectious energy", "Knows who, knows how"
Men love women's sports! Something has become clear to me in the last two weeks: Men really want to show up to support #womenssports and it's surrounding ecosystem to thrive, AND to innovate on the complex challenges the sector faces (misogyny, racism, homophobia, to name a few) with their unique points of power and privilege. Which is great, because women are already...busy. If you're male-identifying and consider yourself in at least one of the below categories, will you take 3 minutes to answer a few questions as we get into formation? Tag others please too. 👀 In(terested) in women’s sports 🗣️ In(fluencing) in women’s sports 💡 In(novating) in women’s sports 💸 In(vested) in women’s sports Interest form: https://lnkd.in/gRuCzVhm #synastrycapital #personalbrandalignment #mensupportingwomen #womenssports #womensbasketball #womenssoccer #investinwomenssports

#NoRoomForRacism Whilst that should be a standard mantra in all parts of our lives it is something that sadly needs to be continued to be addressed during this years #SummerOfSport Unfortunatley there will be a spike in hate speech online, often directed towards participating athletes during this years events. And brands often don't know how to deal with this. In our new report ‘Braving the Backlash: how sports brands can take a stand on social' our We Are Social Sport team has laid out the steps brands need to take to prepare for tackling online hate. Have a read of the blog, and download a free copy on our site and reach out to Joe Weston and I if you want to discuss some more. Shout outs to John McCarthy and The Drum for featuring this today and to Daniel Parker for your insights

Whether you’re a basketball fan or just a content fiend, take a minute to scroll through March Madness Women’s Basketball social channels for some content inspiration. There’s definitely a built-in social aspect and virality to the tournament. With the star-studded teams and cinderella stories, sometimes posts just write themselves. But what I love about their approach this year is their ability to weave game times, stats, player stories, wow-factor plays, and hilarious edits to keep posts entertaining and informative. There are a lot of new fans this year, so it was important to not lean too far into basketball IQ. They NAILED IT this year. If you’re relying too much on informing or educating your audience with text only, link, or heavy graphic designed posts, give one of these posts styles a shot (maybe pun intended) to tie in some entertainment into your content strategy.

Boycotts work. They are a way to apply peaceful economic pressure on decision makers to enact policy changes. If you want to support Palestinian liberation, please check out the No Thanks app to boycott selected businesses that support their oppression. You can also boycott tech companies which make up a large portion of the Israeli economy. See comments for more info. Repost, please. #economy #boycott #peace

#LinkedInSportsChallenge Day 11… Discuss Developments in Women’s Sports Women in sports are starting to take off beyond measures. In media, they’re more talented, hardworking, and entertaining than media is used to being. In sports, they’ve always been good but them recently bringing attention to the disparities between men and women sports have brought more attention to the sports world. Just on my LinkedIn I’ve seen how many women and how much women are having an influence in Sports. From executive positions, to agents, to athletes themselves, women are blazing the trail.
