Hyderabad, Bangalore Remain IT Job Hotspots Despite National Job Market Dip New data revealed regional growth in IT job opportunities in Hyderabad and Bangalore against a backdrop of national decline. From April 2023 to April 2024, Hyderabad has seen 41.5 per cent increase in IT job postings, while Bangalore has experienced a 24 per cent rise. This growth points to a persistent trend of the growing prominence of these cities as top destinations for IT professionals. The data from job platform Indeed’s report also noted an increase in job seeker interest in these regions. Hyderabad recorded a 161 per cent rise in job clicks, suggesting that IT professionals are increasingly targeting the city for employment opportunities. Bangalore similarly saw an 80 per cent increase in job clicks, further cementing its status as a major tech hub. Despite the positive trends in these cities, the overall national picture for IT jobs is not optimistic. The data showed a 3.6 per cent decline in IT job postings across the country. This decrease points to a cautious hiring approach by tech companies, likely influenced by the uncertain global economic climate.
