The #telecom sector has just begun its autonomous networks journey, with most #telcos aiming to attain Level 3 (conditional autonomous networks) autonomy or above by 2028. A new report by the Capgemini Research Institute shows that 84% of telcos are either at Level 1 (assisted operation and maintenance) or Level 2 (partial autonomous networks) autonomy for their overall networks. Telcos that are moving faster on their autonomous networks journey are reaping significant benefits. For instance, in the past two years, telcos have achieved an average improvement of 20% in operational efficiency and an 18% reduction in network OpEx through autonomous network initiatives.
