As you prepare for your first day at work, here are a few tips to help you make a great impression and set yourself up for success. It might be a month since you visited your new employer, in some cases 3 months (dependant on notice period), so refresh yourself, take a look at their website, read the job description again and search recent news, familiarise yourself with the company values, mission, and culture. Reigniting your enthusiasm and excitement, reminding yourself of why you accepted the role and what you have to look forward to is really key to preparing for your first day. Additionally, think about what you will wear and plan your new morning routine, you are likely be taking a new route, the traffic will vary, are there any roadworks (probably!)? Allow yourself sufficient time, as first impressions are crucial. Finally, be open-minded, ask questions, and be proactive in getting to know your colleagues and understanding your role within the team. Set yourself up for success and happiness in your new company! 🌟 Good luck to those of you starting new jobs next week. #FirstDayAtWork #NewBeginnings #ProfessionalDevelopment 🤝
