One key challenge for Indian PM Narendra Modi in his third five-year term is creating more energy for India while reducing harmful emissions. India is actively seeking global investors for the clean energy sector - and Australia and India are both members of the 14-member Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) bloc, formed on May 23, 2022, in Tokyo. Together, they account for 40 per cent of the world's economic output and 28 per cent of trade. The two-day IPEF forum recently in Singapore brought together leading investors, clean economy companies, and startups to explore investment prospects in the Indo-Pacific region. Over 300 participants from financial institutions, multilateral development banks, venture capital funds, project owners, entrepreneurs, and government agencies actively engaged in discussions and presentations.
