In this TEAM COHESION WORKSHOP Session for LEADERS of Kensington Hotel, we explored the Myers and Briggs Traits Indicator (MBTI®), so our teams will understand our personality styles and how to bring together everyone’s personalities and preferences to form a cohesive, productive team. We did workshops on promoting vulnerability-based trust, constructive debate, clarification and buy-in, embracing accountability and collective outcome. We believe that leadership is about deciding that we will do everything in our power to see our people rise and achieve their goals. As we celebrate #LaborDay today, we want to highlight our people. Employee rewards and recognition are paramount to employee engagement and satisfaction. At Kensington, we have two recognition programs; Above and Beyond Champion for Front of the House and Kensington Hidden Champion for Heart of the House. I am thrilled to share with you that the winners from last year’s Employee of the Year were flown to South Korea last week for a week-long adventure, culture immersion, and cross-training at Kensington Hotel Yeoido and Kensington Hotel Pyeongchang. More than just a holiday trip, they were exposed to the Best Practices of other Kensington Hotels and collaboratively shared ours as well. We are four months away from knowing the winners for 2024. All the work we did in 2023 for Robinsons Hotels and Resorts paid off as we were recognized Bronze Winner for Excellence in Employee Engagement winning alongside the biggest names in the industry.
