At Capgemini, we strongly believe in cultivating our commonalities to build a workplace where everyone is welcome and empowered to grow meaningful careers! In my time so far at Capgemini, one of the things that I really appreciate is the fact that out here, "diversity" and "inclusion" are not just corporate buzzwords used casually. Conscious efforts are made to ensure that everyone gets involved in building an inclusive culture, so that we can bring our best selves to work.   For instance, in 2023 they launched Inclusion Circles – a platform where Capgemini leaders can set up open conversations encouraging their colleagues to share their perspectives and experiences. I've had quite a few discussions with my leaders too, on topics ranging from unconscious workplace bias and breaking biases in tech and AI, to the value of #DiversityandInclusion in business. What's so cool is that over 16,000 colleagues have also participated in over 1,200 circles!   I've also heard our leaders share how Inclusion Circles is helping them – in applying an inclusive mindset to their decisions and driving positive actions that empower our colleagues to build more meaningful careers. Today, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) is more than just a just a prevalent trend. It's a strategic imperative driving conversations in boardrooms worldwide. The increasing focus signifies a crucial shift towards a more inclusive corporate culture, transcending mere tokenism. As Satya Nadella puts it, “The most important decisions a leader makes are about people - who they hire, how they nurture talent, and how they empower their teams. Diversity and inclusion are fundamental to getting these decisions right." A wide range of findings and data support this perspective. Diverse teams are empirically proven to yield superior outcomes. Studies reveal that they are 87% more likely to make better decisions than homogenous teams and generate a 19% higher innovation revenue premium. At Infosys, we’ve observed the strong correlation between DE&I initiatives and improved business performance. DE&I is not simply a passing trend to us but an integral part of our ethos and this is epitomized by our latest Infosys DE&I Initiative. This initiative is a holistic approach to inclusivity, focused on four key pillars of progress: 1. Attract & Retain Talent: By prioritizing inclusive hiring practices and fostering an environment where every individual feels a sense of belonging, we attract and keep our top-tier talent. 2. Unlock Career Potential: Through targeted mentorship programs and talent development initiatives, we empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to thrive in their careers. 3. Cultivate Inclusive Leadership: By fostering understanding and appreciation of diverse perspectives across all levels through DE&I training and awareness campaigns, we create a leadership culture that values inclusivity. 4. Foster Collaborative Culture: By promoting open communication, respectful collaboration, and celebration of differences, we tap into the collective creativity, innovation, and resilience of a diverse team. My experience in the industry has shown me the transformative power of DE&I—it's not merely a key enabler but a game-changer. I’ve seen how embracing diversity can equip teams to navigate market shifts and tackle new challenges with agility, empathy and innovation. That’s why I believe as leaders, it is incumbent upon us to champion DE&I, not only for the success of our firms but for the collective benefit of society. For International Women’s Day this year, the conversation is about inspiring inclusion. The moment below touched me deeply and is one I’ll remember for years, I’m sure. It happened recently at our sales kickoff. Colleagues gathered who identified with a story I’ve shared about why I think it’s important to show up as you are, even – and especially – if it doesn’t fit the mold. In my case, it meant wearing bright yellow shoes to work. (Look closely and you'll see many pairs, and other splashes of yellow.) Such a humbling display of kindness and support made me feel ‘at home’ at Coupa. It also reaffirmed for me that inclusion absolutely goes hand-in-hand with authenticity. As I see it, when we show up authentically, we inspire inclusion because we send this message, clearly: 𝘐𝘯 𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘐 𝘢𝘮, 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦. The acceptance, belonging, and freedom in that sentiment, I believe, can move mountains. To women and girls everywhere, and everyone who identifies with, supports, and joins them on their journey: Wear the shoes no matter the colour, or the hairstyle, or the article of clothing. Own the point of view or the lived experience. It’s all yours to embrace. Live authentically knowing that you #inspireinclusion while you do.

I hope you will too.    **** Very early in my career, male colleagues often dominated the scene, holding almost every seat at the table. However, amidst this imbalance, one exceptional woman was there, right beside me, investing in me. She not only mentored me, but instilled in me the conviction that success comes from embracing our unique strengths and talents, not conforming to a predefined model. Today, as a female leader, I carry her lessons with me, endeavouring to uplift and support women around me. Driving meaningful change and progress is accomplished with our everyday actions, as exemplified by Gina Mastantuono's initiative: providing a platform to other women, amplifying their perspectives and contributions so they are not simply speaking, but they are heard.  We have made such progress in the tech industry to increase representation at all levels and roles. We’re not done, but we’ve come a long way. Inclusion, to me, means creating an environment where diversity is embraced and where everyone has a voice. It takes a humble approach to listen and learn – these are the moments where I can discover my blind spots and learn from different perspectives. And when we learn from each other, we are stronger as a team. Let's celebrate the achievements and the extraordinary contributions of women everywhere. Together, we are rewriting the narrative, breaking barriers, and reshaping industries.
