The European Union car market is in the midst of a major transformation due to the rising environmental consciousness and growing demand for eco-friendly cars. 🚗 ✅ In April 2024, battery-electric car registrations rose by 14.8% and hybrid-electric by 33.1% ✅ CO2 emissions in production of new cars fell by more than 5% in 2022 ✅Production energy consumption and water use dropped by 30% and 50 %, respectively, in the same period We are committed to doing our part to contribute to this global effort. Pathway for zero emission vehicle transition by 2035 becomes law. The zero emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate sets out the percentage of new zero emission cars and vans manufacturers will be required to produce each year. This year, 10% of vans and more than a fifth (22%) of cars sold by manufacturers will need to be electric. The targets for manufacturers will increase each year, requiring 80% of new cars and 70% of new vans sold in Great Britain to be zero emission by 2030, increasing to 100% by 2035.
