6 Quarters, 6 Wins: Soaring with Google Cloud (and a Few Lessons Learned) ✈️ The feeling of accomplishment is truly exhilarating, much like soaring through the air on a para glider (as you can see in the picture!). I'm thrilled to announce that I have smashed consecutive Google Cloud quotas for the 6th quarter in a row! This achievement wouldn't be possible without a few key lessons I've picked up in my almost 10 years in sales and marketing, and 1.5 years with Google Cloud: Vision & Creativity: In today's competitive landscape, bold ideas are essential. Don't be afraid to break the mold and embrace continuous learning. Calculated Courage: Take calculated risks! Stepping outside your comfort zone is where breakthroughs happen. The Power of Persistence: Keep pushing, even when you can't see the finish line. Every step counts, and it all adds up to future success. Embrace the Challenge: Have the courage to stand your ground and tackle tough challenges. Believe in yourself and your decisions. Learn from Setbacks: Disappointment and failures are inevitable, but they are also your greatest teachers. Accept setbacks as learning opportunities and move forward. Gratitude is Key: Remember what matters most - your loved ones. They're your support system through thick and thin. OKRs are part of the Google Cloud DNA - it's something that I've appreciated from Day 1. Different than "goals" OKRs focus on Objectives and Key Results. They're tactical, clear, and a North Star for what we want to accomplish. Earlier this year I was reviewing OKRs with my entire team and my Executive Business Partner Sarah Adame shared this one "keep you healthy" - you see Sarah understands something that most people don't get - Leaders have to first Lead themselves. And health isn't something I can prioritize alone...not with long days and requests for 5 minutes flowing in all day. Sarah - thank you for all you do to keep me aligned and focused…the healthy lunch options, the time to workout, ensuring my travel doesn’t compromise sleep too much… and your patience and ingenuity when I ruin a perfectly organized calendar on the way to the airport.
