The graphs show the worst American and British companies in employee retention. As a person who has stayed with Techstack Ltd for the last six years, it immediately strikes me that IT companies predominate in this anti-rating. On average, Apple, Amazon, and Meta employees quit after less than a couple of years. This is interesting since, just recently, the press was excitedly enthusiastic about the tech giants' heavenly working conditions and advanced #corporateculture. However, attempts to drive employees from remote work into offices and layoffs have done their job. On the contrary, oil and energy companies are the best at retaining staff — there are three of them in the top five. At ConocoPhillips, employees work for an average of 10.6 years. I wonder what exactly allows them to create such a long retention? However, the even more intriguing question is why tech giants have not yet learned to play the long game.
