This game captivated me and proved a significant point in the gaming industry: Turn-based RPGs can resonate with a broad audience! Here's why I think Baldur's Gate 3 is a standout: • Player-Driven Story: The narrative is where you, the player, truly take control, shaping the story and its outcomes. The plot's intensity and the depth of the characters, especially Neil Newbon's portrayal of Asterion, were exceptional. Each playthrough is a unique journey, perfectly blending drama with the signature humor of Larian Studios. • Accessible Complexity: The game mechanics are intricate yet approachable, inviting players from various backgrounds. This balancing act is a testament to the developers' skill and consideration. • Exploration & Discovery: True to Larian's style, seen in classics like Divinity: Original Sin, the game world is rich and begging to be explored. Every location hides a new story or quest, fueling the desire to delve deeper. After over 150 hours of gameplay, I'm still enthralled and eager to dive back in.
