Exploring the Vibrant Colors of Holi and Money
Holi has been my favorite festival since I moved to Mumbai. A combination of colors, waters, music and dance - a welcoming of the spring season and sending off the dry winter.
In holi no one says Green is the best colour. Lets play with only green this year. We use all colours - Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Yellow, Purple Etc with equal joy. And it is the mix of colour that bring out the viabrancy of the festive.
But when it comes to portfolio, most people have a favourite asset class and would like to stick to it. For some its Equity, for some its Debt, For many its Real Estate and Gold. If one looks at the asset performance over the years, one can clearly see that no asset has been the top performer in all years.
Each asset class is unique and has its place it your portfolio, like the colours in Holi or a flower in a bouquet. One has to understand their own fund needs, tenure, temperaments, ability and need to take risk, ability etc and match it what the assets have to offer.
Just as Holi spreads joy and cheer with its array of colors, a well-balanced investment strategy can bring stability and prosperity to your financial life.
