Specialisation is Overrated... The Fast Track To Burnout🤔
Our most fundamental thought processes have changed to accommodate increasing complexity and the need to derive new patterns rather than rely only on familiar ones.
Modern work demands knowledge transfer, the ability to apply knowledge to new situations and different domains.
Each day is a way for me to learn and build on yesterday’s knowledge. In today's dynamic and changing world, possessing skills such as adaptability, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking are crucial to breaking the divide and standing out in any profession or field. Brian Herbert once said...
"The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice."
My journey has always been fueled by a passion for continuous learning and growth. Over the years, I've specialized in areas such as project management, administration, marketing, content creation, and other management roles. Many of the roles came in the form of volunteering.
Albeit, each has provided me with unique insights and skills, that has enabled me to tackle diverse challenges with confidence and creativity.
Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to be selected for Kryptr's ELITE Management program, an initiative dedicated to developing well-rounded generalist skills. The program was highly competitive, and I feel fortunate to have been chosen among a talented cohort of entry-level professionals. For me, this program is not just a learning opportunity, it feels like a springboard to acquire more skills towards a fantastic career path.
Being part of the Kryptr 's ELITE Management program is proof of my commitment to improve and make a meaningful impact with the knowledge I’ve acquired.
To those who feel the pressure to become early specialists, rushing into a career path for immediate gains, I share this... specialization can lead to early success, but it can also result in burnout and a lack of fulfillment.
