The challenge: Expanding beyond app-only campaigns The solution: Web campaign to app measurement #1: Web campaign to app attribution ☁ Convert mobile web visitors into app users to tap into a wider audience and enhance visibility, as well as user comprehension. #2: Google Play games for PC 💻 Publish Android apps optimized for PC (desktop or laptop) to enable a seamless cross-device experience for players, while syncing promotion and attribution. #3: APK not hosted in Google Play 🌐 Run mobile campaigns outside the store, promoting apps that are ‘listing-challenged’ because of licensing, regulations, and other issues. (and yes, all these activities can be measured 😉) https://lnkd.in/dYG4fxUM

Experienced Product Manager | M.S in Software Engineering | Helping build software products to solve real problems
Whenever I want to share a YouTube video starting at a specific time, I have to switch from the YouTube app on my phone to the web app on my laptop. I know there are tons of workarounds to this. However, forcing the users to switch to a different platform or modality to achieve their goals leads to a very poor user experience. I am surprised how this has been overlooked, especially when YouTube receives 📱 Over 60% of its traffic from mobile devices and 🖥 a little over 37% from the web version. #productmanagement #productfeatures

Services in Android Services are essential components that allow our apps to perform long-running operations in the background or handling the task when the app is closed or the user is interacting with another app. There are three main types of services in Android: Foreground services: - Services that are noticeable to the user and require ongoing presence even when the app is not in the foreground. - Requires a persistent notification in the status bar to inform the user about the ongoing task. Examples: Music player, navigation app, fitness tracker etc. Background Services: - Services that don't require user interaction and can be stopped if necessary to free up resources. - Running silently in the background without any user notification. Examples: Downloading files, syncing data, scheduling tasks. Bound services: Services are useful for tasks that require communication between different components of an application or between different applications. To bind a service we use the bindService() method and to unbind we use unbindService(). #androiddevelopment #android #androiddev #androiddeveloper #androidstudio #androiddevelopers #mobileappdevelopment #mobileappdeveloper #softwaredevelopment #softwaredeveloper

💥 It was awesome to learn how apps are listed in the Play Store and the clever techniques developers use to organize them without violating Google Play Store's guidelines! 💥 🌟 Figuring out the number of users who haven’t opened the app in the last 28-30 days, those who have returned, which area has the highest number of users, and which area is willing to pay, etc., was so interesting! 🌟 ✨ It was fascinating to see how I used to be drawn to a specific app on the Play Store, even though there are many similar apps offering the same service. ✨ 🔥 The perfect use of colors, graphics, space, and justifying icons makes it a booooooom! 🔥 🎥 Eye-catching and attractive videos and images (customized for each app) make a huge difference. 🎥 🤯 Overall, it was mind-blowing to learn about the process behind a successful app listing on the Play Store. We casually click "install" and boom—it's on our phone. But the precise planning by the developer to make their app stand out in a sea of similar apps is what really makes the difference. 🤯 #playstore #AppListing #GooglePlay
