1moAccenture led the transition of the Federal 401-K style retirement investment system to a new web based system. The development of the system was released before it was fully tested and de-bugged, containing significant errors in functionality at rollout, some of which persist today. The designers did not contemplate that a spouse could also work for the federal government and have the same beneficiaries; as such, it won't let you fully designate beneficiaries that have been designated in another individual's account. Along with this, it wiped the longstanding beneficiary designations from individuals' accounts. The system changed my spouse's birth year to 1800 in my account, making it impossible to request withdrawals. The system does not have full transparency of the account's financial history, as had existed previously.
