Responding to absent behavior

I think procrastination sometimes gets a bad rap. Some people genuinely do their best work at the last minute. But what happens when they don't get their work done in time and it affects everyone around them? The next several behaviors will be discussing our Level 3 behaviors. Behaviors that can be sincerely frustrating. And the first one we'll talk about is absent behaviors. Now, of course, it's natural for any of us to occasionally be absent-minded, distracted, or unfocused. But consistent absent behavior at work like procrastinating on important tasks, missing meetings, not communicating effectively, or blowing deadlines can be a huge drain on productivity and collaboration. To deal with absent behavior, start by checking in with yourself. Is there anything you might be doing to contribute to the dynamic? For example, have you been clear enough about deadlines?
