- [Instructor] When you're ready to create your first document here in Microsoft Word, there are a couple of different options. That's what we're going to explore in this movie. You may have closed up anything you are working on, like I did, so you're left with a blank screen, or you may be working on another document. That's fine too. You can work on multiple documents at a time here in Microsoft Word. We're going to go up to file though and click new. From here you can see we have access to the default template, which is the blank template, but access to other recommended templates down below, different categories, if we wanted to focus, for example, on creating resumes or cover letters, we can click here to see a list of those types of templates.
