- [Instructor] Over the last few lessons, we took a look at vSphere Standard Switches, and I wanted to take the time to review those vSphere Standard Switches just in case you weren't familiar with them. However, you're not going to see any demos in this course related to the vSphere Standard Switch. We're going to focus strictly on the vSphere Distributed Switch because that's what we're going to see on the VCP exam. So I just want to make sure you understand a few important concepts before we move on. And in addition to that, I want to give you some resources if you want to learn more about the vSphere Standard Switch. So the key concepts of vSphere Standard Switches versus vSphere Distributed Switches. A vSphere Standard Switch is local to a single host.
