- [Rick] In this video, I want to show you the vCLS virtual machines and explain what you need to know about them as a vSphere 7 update one and later. So, here we are in the VMs and templates view in my vSphere client, and I can see I've got these virtual machines called vCLS. These are not VMs that I created, they just automatically appeared here. And let's take a look at my ESXI hosts. And if I look at my hosts, you may notice that running on some of them, I've got these three vCLS virtual machines. And again, these are not virtual machines that I've created, they were just automatically built for me. These VMs operate what's known as the vSphere Clustering Service. And this was a feature that was released in vSphere 7, update one. You should not make any changes to these virtual machines. You shouldn't power them off, you shouldn't rename them, you shouldn't move them around. You should essentially just leave them alone. And if we go to the vSphere client administration area here…
