- In this video, we'll learn how to modify advanced settings for a virtual machine. So here I am in the vSphere client and I'm going to go to hosts and clusters, and I've got this VM I've been playing with over the last few lessons called Old Hardware. I'm actually going to rename this VM, I'm just going to call it Demo VM. And by the way, when you rename a virtual machine, one important thing to be aware of is that even though the virtual machine is renamed on the underlying storage, the names of the underlying files do not change, right? So my VM is now called the Demo VM, but even though I renamed the VM, none of the files that make up that VM are actually renamed. So, I just wanted to mention that. So now, I'm going to go ahead and right click this virtual machine and go to edit settings. And under edit settings, you can see we have virtual hardware, we have VM options, which is where we used to go for advanced parameters. But now, we've got a new little tab here called Advanced…
