Configure private VLANs in vSphere

- [Instructor] In this video, I'll demonstrate how to configure Private VLANs on a vSphere Distributed Switch. And basically a Private VLAN is a way to set up a VLAN within another VLAN. So again, here you can see, I'm at the networking view of my vSphere Client, and here's my Rick Crisci demo, vSphere Distributed Switch. And I'm going to right-click my port group, and I'm going to go to edit settings. And under edit settings, I'm going to go to VLAN. And under VLAN, I have the option to do some things similar to what we saw with the vSphere Standard Switch. I can apply a VLAN specifically to this port group. I can configure the VLAN with VLAN Trunking so that it will simply pass through any VLANs that have been configured on the virtual machines themselves. Or I can set up a private VLANs. Now, at the moment, you can see private VLAN is not configured for this virtual switch. So let's cancel this and let's go to the vSphere distributed Switch itself. And before I can enable it on the…
