- One of my favorite things about UX Research is that people from all different backgrounds can be successful and there is no one direct path. Learning about the different methodologies and how to plan research efforts to gather accurate, unbiased data is the first and biggest step. This course has given you the initial tools to conduct research on your own. You now understand the main benefits of performing user experience research, the different types of research methods, and the basics of how to plan, run, analyze, and report them. Now that you know the fundamentals it will take some practice to apply these things in your own context. I recommend looking for a chance to incorporate some research into your existing projects right away. If you're feeling unsure a good first method is a usability test.
