Keeping your mind clear

- At this point, it's natural to be concerned about this huge list of tasks and action items you've cleared from your mind. When are you going to do all this stuff? It's okay to feel this way. We'll get there shortly. Continue with this course and I'll guide you through how to deal with all of it in a timely way, with as little stress possible. I'll give you a simple system to take each item you gathered and decide what you're going to do with it, when you're going to do it, and where it belongs. Believe it or not, you do have enough time to get everything done. You just might not know it yet. For now, build the habit of clearing any task out of your mind the moment it begins to interrupt your thoughts. When that unresolved to-do pops in your head, put it into an approved gathering point. Do it even as you go through this course or if you're in the middle of working on another project. Rather than getting distracted and chasing the new task, pause, gather it into an approved gathering point, and return to the project at hand. Yes, it's a brief attention switch, but it's less distracting than letting that task repeatedly interrupt your train of thought. Remember, your brain is not an approved gathering point. Leave yourself a message, get that task out of your head.
